Sometimes the problem you see is only the starting point
A Loriven Business Triage is a focused diagnostic session for founders and business leaders who know something is not working but need greater clarity before deciding what to do.
We examine the visible issue alongside the patterns, decisions, people, structures and constraints surrounding it. The purpose is not to rush towards a solution, but to identify what may really require attention.
Business Triage may be useful when:
- The same problem keeps returning
- An important decision has stalled
- Growth is creating confusion or strain
- Too much still depends on the founder
- A people or performance issue is proving difficult to understand
- The business needs clarity before committing more time or money
What the process looks like
Business Triage is structured enough to keep the conversation focused, while allowing us to follow what the issue reveals.
Before the session
We begin with a 30-minute discovery conversation to understand the immediate concern and confirm whether Business Triage is the right starting point. You will then complete a short pre-session intake.
During the session
In a focused 90-minute session, we examine the issue from different angles, including recurring patterns, decision context, people, structure, systems and constraints.
After the session
We identify what appears to require attention and discuss the most useful next step. Any further support is recommended only where it would add practical value.
What you leave with
The purpose of Business Triage is not to produce an instant answer. It is to give you a clearer understanding of the issue and a more useful basis for deciding what comes next.
A clearer view
Separate the visible problem from the patterns and conditions that may be driving it.
A better question
Reframe the issue so that assumptions, risks and overlooked options become easier to see.
Practical direction
Identify what deserves attention now and determine the most useful next step.
If further support would be useful
For some clients, the clarity gained during the session is enough. Where additional structure would add value, follow-on support may include:
Decision Brief
A concise summary of the issue, the key considerations identified and the decisions requiring attention.
Pattern Map
A visual or written outline of the recurring patterns, relationships and conditions influencing the problem.
Execution Next Steps
Practical priorities, responsibilities and immediate actions to help the business move forward.
Follow-on support is optional and scoped separately based on the needs of the business.
Not sure if Business Triage is the right place to begin?
Start with a 30-minute discover conversation. We’ll discuss what is happening and determine whether Business Triage, or another form of support, would be the better fit.
